We took on a huge project - the renovation of a brownstone shell in Harlem (no roof, no floors, no windows) - we were completely inexperienced. Edmund went through the whole project with us with infinite patience and good humor, even though the job was complicated by our insistence on making many design decisions on site - width of staircases, placement of walls and soffits and on incorporating salvaged doors, mantles, tubs and lighting fixtures. Edmund accommodated that aspect of the project with energy and zest. The people he has working for him - a consistent crew - are reliable, hardworking and pleasant to be around; important on a job of this size and duration. His head builder, Frank Mulligan, is beyond compare.
