Historic integrity was never compromised as we renovated and modernized this four-story brownstone. Mahogany stairways and oak moldings, all covered in numerous coats of deteriorating paint, were carefully stripped and then restored to their original condition. When damage to the wood was too extensive, we fabricated new moldings and details to match the old, allowing all the woodwork to seamlessly flow from one room to the next.  also completely reconfigured the interior of the house. On the first floor, we removed all of the walls in order to open up the space and make the most of the house's grand proportions. Installation of an unobtrusive central air system rounds off this stylish, historical upgrade.
