Thirty years of neglect had reduced this historic home to a partial structure with splintered beams and a collapsed roof. The interior staircase and original wood details had either rotted or been removed. Our mission was to rebuild the home to make it look as if it had been meticulously maintained for over a century. We worked closely with the clients, as they were anxious to play an active role in the renovation. Together we salvaged fine wood doors, antique mantles, marble bathroom fixtures and even 2" thick granite slabs recovered from the courtyard of New York's Frick Museum, which were eventually installed as the kitchen floor, complete with underfloor heating.  remained fluid throughout the process, adapting to the disparate requirements of each aspect of the project.
